Built by an Insider Who Walked Away
After climbing the corporate ladder from startup CEO to Executive Director at a major bank, we quit the noise to build something authentic.
The Story Behind BASIS
At 29, I was a hired startup CEO. After a successful exit, I downshifted completely—moving to Koh Samui to breathe, learn, and open a Thai cooking school. I spent two beautiful years there, far from the financial machine.
When I returned to the corporate world, I climbed back up—eventually serving as an Executive Director at a major bank. But I never forgot the peace of those Samui years. Last year, I voluntarily quit the corporate suite to build BASIS.
I know what it means to be trapped in the high-stress machinery of finance. I know what it means to seek autonomy. BASIS is the tool I built because I wanted a rational, calm way to manage capital—not a casino. Not an airplane cockpit. A sanctuary.
A Note on Independence
"Because I have lived on both sides—the high-pressure financial suites of major banks and the quiet coastlines of Southeast Asia—I refused to let BASIS be optimized for brokerage commissions or flash advertising. Our code is built solely to serve the calm capital allocator—and no one else."
